Prepare for economic releases
Watch inflation, employment, growth and interest-rate announcements for the currencies you trade. Compare the release time, forecast, previous reading and actual result. A surprise can move prices in either direction; an event's importance does not predict the outcome.
Time zones and execution risk
Check the time zone displayed by the calendar against your local clock and MT5 server time. Around important releases, spreads may widen and stops can slip. Schedule changes and unscheduled news are possible.
